Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking compassionate aides to support students with special needs in San Francisco classrooms. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, build trust, and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment while supporting IEP implementation.

Experience in K-12 settings and with Special Education is a plus; the role is paid hourly as a W-2 employee with access to benefits, training, and a referral program.

Qualifications

• State & federal background checks required.
• Three professional references including at least one from a previous supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care.
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Support resource teachers in delivering IEPs.
• Take direction from lead educators and assist when needed.
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, indoor and outdoor.
