Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated educators to support students with special needs in 1:1 or small group settings. You will build rapport, foster a safe learning environment, and assist lead teachers as needed, including scenarios involving medically fragile or high-behavior students.

Qualifications include 48 college credits, an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree or CBEST, and state/federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care.
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Take direction from lead educators and assist when needed.
• Some roles include assisting various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom.
• Comfortable working with medically fragile/high behavior situations.
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students.
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings.
• Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process.
