Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking energetic educational support professionals to work 1:1 or in small groups with students who have special needs. You will build trust, foster a safe learning environment, and take direction from lead teachers to deliver tailored support.

Roles require empathy, a growth mindset, and a passion for education. Prior state and federal background checks are required, and compensation includes weekly pay and 401k eligibility.

Qualifications

• 48 college credits, Associate’s Degree, Bachelors Degree or CBEST.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks
• TB risk assessment or test

Responsibilities

• Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care.
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Take direction from lead educators and assist when needed.
• Some roles include assisting various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom.
• Comfortable working with medically fragile/high behavior situations.
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students.
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings.
