Kelly Pediatric Therapy in Newville, PA seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support middle school students with disabilities. Responsabilités

• Support middle school students with disabilities in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Assist special education teachers with implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications.
• Reinforce instruction through guided practice and direct student support.
• Provide behavioral support using positive behavior intervention strategies.
• Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Physically assist students with transfers in and out of wheelchairs, positioning, and safe mobility.
• Support nonverbal and minimally verbal students by assisting with AAC devices and communication systems.
• Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and communication attempts.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists (speech, OT, PT), and other service providers.
• Maintain student confidentiality in compliance with FERPA and district policies.

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is looking to partner with Special Education Paraprofessionals in Newville, PA to support middle school students with disabilities. This position works closely with students to promote academic growth, independence, communication, and social-emotional development.

Must have experience in a school setting working with Special Education classes to be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support middle school studentswith disabilities in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings
• Assist special education teachers with implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
• Reinforce instruction through guided practice and direct student support
• Provide behavioral support using positive behavior intervention strategies
