Zusammenfassung

Centennial School District ISD12 seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional at Centennial Elementary. Work hours are 6.5 per day, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with ASAP start.

The paraprofessional provides direct support to students with disabilities under a licensed teacher, helping implement IEPs and promote independence. Duties include supervising students indoors/outdoors, assisting with daily living activities, data collection on goals, and collaboration with teachers, PT/OT/SLP, and nurses.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate aptitude for responsibilities.
• Candidates may substitute education for qualifications per district guidelines.
• Passing ParaPro or Paraeducator Assessment satisfies the required credential.

Aufgaben

• Supervision of students indoors and outdoors during transitions, lunch, and activities.
• Reinforcing academic skills with individuals or small groups under a licensed teacher.
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) including eating, mobility, toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
• Facilitating behavior redirection in line with IEPs and district protocols.
• Data collection on student goals and objectives and collaboration with the case manager and therapists.
• Completing Third Party Billing documentation as trained and required.
• Participating in professional development, trainings and meetings.

Ausbildung

High School Diploma required

Two years of college credits (60 credits Minnesota)

Associate's degree or higher

Passing score on ParaPro or Paraeducator Assessment
