Job summary

Waterville Elementary School in Waterville, Vermont is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to join our team. The successful candidate will support the educational and social development of learners under the direction of the special educator and classroom teachers.

Responsibilities include assisting with Individual Education Plans, supporting small groups and individuals inside and outside the classroom, and collaborating with speech therapists and other staff to meet student needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Waterville Elementary School is searching for a Special Education Paraeducator to join our team. The successful candidate will be a caring and collaborative paraeducator to work within our joyful community of learners. The ideal candidate will:

• Assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of the special educator and classroom teachers.
• Assist in supporting learners' Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator
• Provide support for the individual, small group, and classroom-size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom
• Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists, student support,
• Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual
• Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needs
