Job summary

Littleton Public Schools is seeking a dynamic front-line paraprofessional to work with young adults with disabilities. You will assist in implementing educational, vocational and recreational activities, focusing on daily living skills and independence within the students' IEP framework.

Strong teamwork and effective communication with staff, students and families are essential. CPR/First Aid certification is required; CPI training is expected within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications required or expected within two months after hire.
• CPI Training/Certification required within 12 months after hire.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing educational, vocational and recreational programs for students.
• Promote positive behavior and social skills and support students in daily living activities.
• Support students with functional daily living skills, personal care and overall health.
• Provide assistance in community based activities and promote independence aligned with IEPs.
