Job summary

SADDLE RIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Paraeducator – Special Education to support students with special needs under the supervision of a certified teacher. You will reinforce curriculum, adapt activities, and assist with IEP implementation in the classroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.
• Experience working with school age children preferred.
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and lessons.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement IEP objectives.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain records as required.
• Adapt activities and materials to support diverse learners.
• Supervise students in various settings and ensure a safe environment.
• Provide clerical support and help with classroom organization.
