Job summary

The Washoe County School District is seeking a Paraeducator Aide II to support teachers in special education classrooms, providing individualized or group assistance consistent with each student’s IEP. Responsibilities include assisting with instructional activities, health and hygiene tasks, and behavioral support as needed.

Assigned to various SPED programs (EC, SIP, Strategies, CLS, IK, etc.), the aide may transport or accompany students and help modify general education tasks.

Qualifications

• Any education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities in daily activities.
• Move, supervise, and provide attendant services as needed in classroom and on buses.
• Support health, hygiene, and safety routines; reinforce instructional goals as directed.
