Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Paraeducator Aide II to support students with disabilities in various SPED programs at North Valleys High School. Responsibilities include assisting teachers, providing one-on-one or small group support, and aiding in health, safety, and daily activities as needed.

The role requires involvement across EC, SIP, STRATEGIES, CLS, and IK programs, with potential for field trips and equipment handling. Training and adherence to IEP goals are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities in daily activities.
• Move students weighing 50–80 pounds daily and repetitively.
• Assist with lesson assignments and reinforce learning concepts.
• Maintain discipline and order in playgrounds, lunchrooms, libraries and classrooms.
• Communicate with special education teachers about student concerns and observations.
