Job summary

Valley View Public School District is seeking a full-time Special Education Program Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year to support students with disabilities under licensed staff supervision at Robert C. Hill Elementary School.

The role involves academic and behavioral support, implementing IEP-directed strategies, assisting with classroom management, record-keeping, and collaboration with teachers.

Qualifications

• Illinois Paraprofessional license or eligibility with valid stipulations.
• HS Diploma or equivalent with 30 hours of college coursework.
• Ability to support students with IEP goals and accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students with academic tasks and functional skills.
• Supervise transitions and support in multiple settings per IEP.
• Provide academic, functional, and behavioral support to students.
• Assist with curriculum adaptations and instructional planning.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Maintain progress records and document student progress.
• Implement classroom management for safety and engagement.
• Prepare and use educational materials as directed.
• Collaborate with teachers to coordinate instructional plans.
• Utilize Google Suite and assistive tech for student support.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed.
