Job summary

Park County School District 6 is seeking a Special Education Para Educator to assist students with significant disabilities in a classroom setting. The role supports instructional activities, Aide/teacher collaboration, and data collection for IEP progress.

You will work under supervision to provide personal care assistance, adapt materials, monitor safety, and help students access the general curriculum as appropriate.

Qualifications

• SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: basic operations of standard office equipment and recordkeeping.
• Ability to follow safety practices, provide basic first aid, and communicate clearly.
• Understanding of working with students with disabilities and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists students with disabilities under the guidance of teachers to support progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintains instructional materials and student files to ensure accessibility of information.
• Monitors classroom activities to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment.
• Attends meetings and collaborates with teachers and case managers to evaluate progress.
