Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe disabilities under licensed special education staff. You will support individuals and small groups, adapt curriculum, monitor progress, and help implement behavior strategies and assignments.

In remote learning settings, assist with technology access, executive functioning strategies, and coursework completion. Strong collaboration with the IEP team is essential, with duties spanning Direct classroom

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior with licensed staff.
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance and paperwork.
• Support other classroom events such as fire drills as necessary.
• Follow IEP plans and communicate progress to the IEP team.
• Provide safe, hygienic care and assist in online/remote settings as needed.
