Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with complex needs under licensed special education staff. Duties include adapting curriculum for individuals and small groups, implementing IEP-based accommodations, and assisting with materials, tests, attendance, and progress records.

Responsibilities extend to online/remote learning support, behavior management, and collaboration with licensed staff.

Qualifications

• HSE diploma required; no professional work experience required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training is mandatory.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to modify curriculum and implement behavior modification techniques.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement accommodations and maintain progress records; report observations to IEP team.
• Prepare materials and assist with tests, attendance, and paperwork.
• Assist with online/remote learning activities and technology support.
