Job summary

Durango School District 9-R seeks a Special Education Instructional Paraeducator to support students in a one-on-one setting and in the classroom at Miller Middle School. This full-time role includes benefits and begins ASAP, with responsibilities across instructional support, IEP facilitation, and behavioral interventions.

Responsibilities include assisting licensed staff, implementing accommodations, supervising students, and helping with data collection and documentation while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or 2 years college.
• CDE/ESSA paraprofessional qualifications may be required.
• CPR/First Aid training preferred; CPI training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support in one-on-one and small/large groups.
• Assist with IEPs under licensed staff supervision.
• Implement modifications and accommodations to curriculum.
• Supervise students in various settings and support behavior goals.
• Assist with data collection, records, and confidentiality (FERPA).
• Attend in-service opportunities and participate in committee work.
• Assist with mobility, hygiene, and basic daily routines as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
