The role requires collaboration with teachers, service providers, and families to implement IEPs, adapt materials, and monitor student progress in a respectful, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• To work in a Title I-funded school, 48 college credit hours or a passing paraprofessional assessment (ETS or NES) required.
• Associate's Degree in Special Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional plans and activities as designated by the teacher or service provider.
• Demonstrates patience while engaging and motivating students and supporting independence.
• Assists in formulating and conducting classroom activities and preparing materials.
• Guides students during transitions within school buildings and community settings.
• Complies with medical protocols and responds to medically-based situations as directed.
• Supports access to instructional technology and data collection of student performance.
• Assists with personal care tasks and mobility needs as required by students.
• Maintains records, inventories, and compliance with district policies.
