Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Pleasant Grove, UT is hiring a Secondary Para Educator to support students with special needs under the guidance of the special education team. The role focuses on implementing IEPs, facilitating small group activities, and promoting an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in special education or related field is preferred.
• Experience with students with special needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

Responsibilities

• Work Monday through Friday, roughly 28-30 hours per week when school is in session.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in classrooms.
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Support student development of communication, social, and life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional materials and manage classrooms.
