Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 48 college hours or Master Teacher Exam within 90 days.
• 20 hours per year of in-service training required.
• All paraeducator positions are non-exempt, at-will.
• Criminal background check and health inoculation on file.
• Flexibility to work with students with varied disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Adapts and provides accommodations of activities under teacher direction.
• Aids students in and out of classroom and assists with daily living tasks.
• Supports students with challenging behaviors per IEP and school policy.
• Participates in trainings to meet state requirements.
• Collaborates with staff to support student progress and IEP goals.
• Maintains instructional materials and tracks student progress.
