Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Paraeducator Assistant III HQ for its Special Education programs. Under general supervision, you will support teaching staff with individual and group instruction, maintain records, and develop instructional materials in Title I contexts.

Qualifications include completion of 48 semester hours or an associate degree, or a high school diploma with HQ criteria (ParaPathways or ParaPro).

Qualifications

• Supports instruction in SPED settings and maintains instructional records.
• Meets HQ requirements including education hours or diploma.
• Familiar with ParaPathways and ParaPro requirements as HQ criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with lesson planning and development of teaching aids.
• Prepare, administer and grade examinations and homework assignments.
• Observe and report student progress to teachers and parents.
• Assist in maintaining classrooms and instructional materials across SPED programs.
