Job summary

The Washoe County School District is seeking a Paraeducator Assistant II HQ in Special Education to support instructional staff and develop instructional materials across SPED programs. Under general supervision, you will assist with individual and group instruction, maintain records, and support students across EC, SIP, IK, CLS, and APE programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of 48 semester hours of credit at an accredited college or university, or an associate's degree or higher.
• ParaProAssessment by ETS with a score of at least 460.

Responsibilities

• Assists teaching staff in a variety of classroom and related areas; assists in preparing lesson outlines and plans.
• Assists in planning, preparing and developing teaching aids and materials.
• Presents subject matter to students using various methods; supports students individually or in groups.
• Maintains classroom materials and equipment; observes progress and refers concerns to the teacher.
• Maintains and updates student data, records and instructional materials.
