Job summary

Snoqualmie Valley School District is seeking a Paraeducator III to support instructional activities in a Special Education self-contained setting. Under a certificated teacher’s direction, you will work with students individually or in small groups and assist with behavior and personal hygiene needs.

Must meet Washington paraeducator requirements or equivalent qualifications, including education credits or approved assessments. Benefits include health and retirement options and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must meet WA State Paraeducator requirements: age 18+, high school diploma, or approved alternative.
• Alternative qualifications include a passing paraeducator assessment or college credits.
• Apprenticeship in paraeducator program is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support in a special education self-contained setting, individually or in small groups.
• Assist with behavior management and personal hygiene needs of high-needs students.
• Support the certificated teacher and follow the assigned classroom plan.
