Job summary

Lake Oswego School District at Lakeridge High School is seeking a Temporary Special Education Assistant II for 7 hours/day across 186 days. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• An Associate Degree or two years of study at a community college/university is preferred.
• Ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Plan day-to-day routines and support instruction under supervision.
• Assist with individual and small-group instruction and monitoring progress.
• Support safety, health, and mobility needs of students, including 504/IEP-related tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage student information per laws and district policies.
• Provide clerical support and supervise students during activities and transitions.
• Attend workshops and trainings to stay current on procedures and data collection.
