Job summary

Lake Elsinore Unified School District is seeking Substitute Paraeducator I, II, or III to assist in instructional activities and support certificated staff. The role covers on-call, daily or short/long term assignments throughout the school year, with various sites and hours.

This part-time position requires a high school diploma and may require First Aid/CPR and fingerprint clearance. Applicants should be prepared to supervise students, prepare instructional materials, and monitor progress

Qualifications

• Experience with school-age children preferred, paid or volunteer.
• Skills in basic clerical tasks, arithmetic, and using standard office equipment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English and maintain student records.
• First Aid/CPR certificates may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teachers in classroom operations and instruction.
• Supervise students to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and gather resources as needed.
• Provide feedback on student progress and maintain records.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups as required.
