Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: 48 semester or 60 quarter units or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of instructional activities or guidance in an organized program.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Two years of paraeducator experience is desirable or required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in providing classroom instruction and planning.
• Prepare lesson outlines and teaching aids; supervise students in groups.
• Maintain records and instructional materials; observe progress for teacher referral.
• Confer with teachers and parents on student progress; prepare and maintain records.
