Putnam Elementary School is looking for a caring, flexible, and dependable Special Education Paraeducator to join our team, specifically supporting students within a specialized program. This full‑time role is crucial in empowering elementary students with diverse and often intensive learning needs, helping them navigate their academic, social, and emotional growth in a structured and supportive environment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Support elementary students with diverse learning needs, providing academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional assistance.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to implement instructional and behavioral plans.
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Provide individual and small group support to students as directed by certified staff.
• Adapt to evolving student needs and assist with classroom activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment or at least 60 college credits from an accredited institution.
• Experience working in a school system is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, showing patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to follow directions from certified staff, maintain a high degree of professionalism, and ensure confidentiality at all times.

Start Date: Immediate Opening

Rate of Pay: $19.67 - $21.74 per hour
