Cedar Rapids Community School District seeks a Special Education Para at Pierce Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. Under supervision, you will work with students individually or in groups and assist with supervision in classrooms, cafeteria and hallways.

The seven-hour-per-day position pays $17.26 per hour and requires two years of postsecondary education or a Paraeducator certificate, with health assistance and material prep duties as part of daily responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Work with students individually or in groups under supervision.
• Assist with supervision of students in classroom, cafeteria, halls.
• Implement behavior management strategies.
• May include riding the bus with students.
• May include working one to one with student to complete assigned tasks.
• Student supervision required.
• Ensuring student safety is required.
• Assist students with health needs under nurse guidance.
• Assist in preparing educational materials.
• Assist students at mealtimes.
• Assist students in personal hygiene areas.
• Help get students to and from bus or car.
• Assignments may vary based on building and district needs.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
