Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Evidence of Para-Professional Assessment or equivalent training/education/experience.
• Ability to read instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Observe and supervise classroom activities.
• Assist teacher in setup and cleanup of classroom.
• Provide one-on-one and group instruction after initial instruction.
• Monitor students during bathroom breaks, lunch, recess and field trips.
• Assist with self-help skills and social development.
• Assist with transportation to buses/parent pickup and drop-off.
• Communicate rules and expectations to students.
• Maintain attendance and progress records; assist with data collection.
• Provide support for students with IEPs and implement behavior plans as directed.
• Attend safety and behavior management trainings as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
