Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of at least 2 years of college or an associate's degree or equivalent demonstration.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics readiness as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and enforce school rules, regulations, and district policies.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Work with individual students or small groups for instructional exercises.
• Assist in administering and scoring objective tests or other assignments.
• Supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory/maintenance of equipment.
• Assist in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports.
• Participate in staff development, meetings, and events as needed.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
