Job summary

Burlington Community School District is seeking two Level II Special Education Associates for North Hill Elementary School. Each role is 7 hours per day, 176 days per year, with starting wages of $15.39 per hour, rising to $15.79 per hour with an AA degree or higher.

The associates will support students with activities, supervise in cafeteria and classrooms, and assist with personal care as needed. Basic math, science, reading and writing skills are expected, with mobility and lifting ability

Qualifications

• Must be able to keep students on task and organized.
• Mobility and ability to lift required.
• Basic understanding of math, science, and reading/writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Accompany students to activities and supervise in cafeteria, classrooms, playground, and patrol duties.
• Assist students with personal hygiene needs.
• Follow written and oral directions; effectively work with students in small groups or one-on-one.
