Job summary

Bentonville Schools is hiring a Special Education Lead Facilitator to oversee special education practices and support for teachers and parents. This position involves ensuring compliance with special education laws while collaborating with building administration and special education leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Special Education, strong organizational, and communication skills, along with knowledge of due process guidelines. Priority will be given to those with prior teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of completing special education due process paperwork.
• Experience in supporting and coaching adult learners.
• Understanding of Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assist parents/guardians with understanding due process guidelines.
• Monitor compliance of special education records.
• Support building staff with transitions and scheduling.

Skills

Knowledge of state and federal special education laws

Strong organizational skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Successful special education teaching experience

Education

Degree in Special Education or related field; MSE/Admin preferred
