Job summary

Bentonville Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with IEPs under supervision of the Special Education Teacher and/or Principal. The role includes supervising students and assisting with instructional activities, data collection for progress monitoring, and maintaining classroom safety.

Responsibilities span direct instructional support, clerical tasks, and supervision during lunch, bus, and other non-instructional times.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
College coursework or passing examination as required by the most recent legislation.
Prior experience working with children desirable.

Responsibilities

Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.
Assist in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.
Assist with record-keeping procedures to document student academic learning performance (including data collection for behavior tracking).
Assist with classroom behavioral management (Behavior Support Plans) to minimize disruptions and ensure a safe and orderly classroom.
Assist students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, corridors, study hall, and other related non-instructional areas.
