Job summary

Special Education Associates is seeking passionate SEITs to join our team, working with preschool-aged children (birth–grade 2) with autism, speech delays, and other developmental challenges, across all five boroughs with a strong presence in the Bronx and Brooklyn.

We offer full-time and part-time positions at $90/hr on an incentive plan, with the option to buy into our insurance package if you work 30+ hours.

Qualifications

• Requires NY State Special Education Teacher Certification (Birth–Grade 2) or Permanent Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with preschool-aged children.
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable. Bilingualism is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each child.
• Support social, emotional, and developmental growth.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to coordinate care.
• Track progress and adapt strategies to meet each child’s needs.

Our SEITsare supported by a Supervisor/Director, plus Admin Observerswho provide classroom guidance and mentorship. We also provideongoing professional developmentto help you grow in your career.
