Job summary

Prospect High School, part of Township High School District 214, is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Long-Term Substitute in its Special Education Department. The assignment runs 01/06/2027 through 05/27/2027, with hours 7:20 am to 3:20 pm and a pay rate of $21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain State and NCLB Approved Paraprofessional designation in accordance with Illinois State Board of Education requirements.
• Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies, materials and office equipment up to 50 lbs, as well as students needing assistance.
• Must sit at workstation for extended period of time and/or move frequently from workstation to various other areas of building.

• Implement specialized or vocational education programs under a licensed teacher.
• Collaborate with staff, students, and parents/guardians to support learning.
• Respond appropriately in crisis situations and maintain confidentiality.
