Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support students at Whispering Meadows Elementary School in a 9-month role. The position runs 6.5 hours per day with a half-hour unpaid lunch and offers health coverage, under the supervision of special education teachers.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, implementing IEPs, and assisting with daily living skills and transitions. Experience in education and lifting ability are noted as requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of study (60+ hours) at an institution of higher education or an associate's degree is preferred.
• Previous experience as a classroom assistant desirable.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and assist with personal needs as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instructional materials according to teacher directions to implement IEPs.
• Provides direct and indirect support to promote student learning in SPED and general ed settings.
• Attends activities to build life and vocational skills for students.
• Assists with transitions, wheelchair/patient transfers, and related tasks as needed.
