Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have 48 college hours or pass paraeducator exam.
• Ability to work under supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform clerical duties as directed by the teacher.
• Under guidance of the certified teacher, assist in implementing adaptations/modifications to the general curriculum per the IEP.
• Assist the teacher in gathering and recording student progress data.
• Assist students with mobility and self-care needs as required by IEPs and health plans.
• Support students across settings including resource room, classroom, and community.
• Assist in maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
