Job Description

Qualifications/Experience: MN Teaching License, or if you have a four-degree you can obtain a Short Call Substitute License from PELSB. Successful background check required Experience working with children preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed: Knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching; ability to establish relationships and maintain standards of behavior; willingness to be flexible with daily schedule changes, and duties unrelated to original assignment.

Patience, flexibility, love for children, confidentiality, teamwork, self-starter, take direction easily, excellent communication skills, and behavior management skills.

Specific Tasks: Filling daily vacancies or other duties as assigned, throughout the building. Effectively manage students. Assume duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher as assigned. Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher. Supervise and ensure the safety of students during classroom hours. Maintain a positive learning environment. Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher. Supervise non‑classroom duties when assigned.

Hours Per Day: Temporary assignment, available immediately and ending approx. 12/3/26, with the possibility of extension. 7.5 hours per day Assigned to Isanti Primary for all student contact days.
