Job summary

The Prairie Grove School District is seeking a Sped Instructional Paraprofessional to assist in the daily training program for students with disabilities. You will work under the supervision of the special education teacher and help implement instructional activities and classroom routines.

Responsibilities include supporting students during bus loading, lunch, and activities, assisting with behavior management, and maintaining records in accordance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree or 60 college credits; Praxis paraprofessional exam may substitute for college hours; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children with disabilities is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers and staff are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily training activities under the teacher's supervision.
• Support classroom operations and routine procedures.
• Implement and follow instructional programs and classroom routines.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain basic student records.
• Assist with student supervision during bus loading/unloading and cafeteria activities.
• Support behavior management and meet medical needs as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with district policies.
