Job summary

Harrisburg School District is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support instructional programs under a certificated staff member. You will work in special education or regular classrooms to assist with student learning and classroom management.

Responsibilities include assisting with materials, transitions, and implementing IEP accommodations, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teachers and substitutes as needed. Training and confidentiality are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one or group review of material taught by certificated staff, supporting classroom management.
• Assists students with materials, transitions, and communication with substitutes as needed.
• Assists with curriculum tasks and testing per IEP directives and teacher instructions.
• Prepares materials for daily instruction and adapts work per individual student needs as directed.
• Assists with morning/afternoon duties and supervision as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality of district information and student data.
• Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with school policy.
