Qualifications

• Special Education Teaching Certificate (Pre-K-8) is required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches subjects per certification with IEP-based modifications to the curriculum.
• Develops and implements lesson plans and provides individualized or small-group instruction.
• Uses assessments to monitor IEP progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Supports regular education teachers and instructional/non-instructional staff working with exceptional students.
• Monitors progress toward IEP goals and documents results in accordance with district policy.
• Participates in case conferences and communicates with parents about student progress.
