Job summary

South Washington County Schools seeks a Special Education Flex Paraprofessional for the Headwaters Life Skills Program. The role supports high-need students under a licensed special education teacher, with 6.25-hour days and a 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

schedule plus a ½ hour lunch. Starting pay is $22.70 per hour, with potential $0.50/hour increase upon Highly Qualified status. Applicants should be prepared for a school-calendar position, with a possibility to shift locations as student needs

Qualifications

• Provide instructional and behavioral support under a licensed teacher.
• Assist with implementing district policies and procedures.
• Help students with reading, writing, or math under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Consult daily with licensed teacher.
• Assist with behavioral management and data recording.
• Support students with learning and daily living activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Participate in district-sponsored training.
