Job summary

Westborough Public Schools seeks a dynamic Special Education Support Professional (ESP-3) to join the staff at Gibbons Middle School. The position is on-site, Monday–Friday, 6.5 hours per day with occasional 7.5-hour days; non-exempt, hourly.

The ESP-3 provides support for students with diverse needs, collaborates with teachers, and implements accommodations and instructional modifications under supervision of a special educator. CORI/SORI background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field; solid related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Specialized knowledge in child growth, disabilities, ABA, inclusive practices, anti-bias instruction, social-emotional learning, assistive technology or technology integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to students in large groups, small groups, and one-to-one settings.
• Assist with implementing accommodations and modifications as per IEPs.
• Collect and record data as directed by the educational team.
• Attend two Monday after-school meetings per month to collaborate with faculty and school personnel.
• Cover classroom responsibilities in the teacher’s absence when necessary.
