Northfield Public Schools seeks a Special Education Educational Assistant – PCA for the 2026-2027 school year. Full-time and part-time openings offer 6.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday, starting 8/31/2026.

This role provides support to students with special needs, assists with daily living activities, and follows individualized behavior plans in collaboration with licensed staff. Qualifications include 60 college credits, an associate's degree, or a passing score on an approved

Qualifications

• Have at least 60 college credits or an associate's degree or pass an approved assessment.
• Ability to assist with instruction in reading, language arts, writing, mathematics, and school readiness.
• Knowledge of child development, behavioral management, and adapting instruction to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in daily living activities and mobility.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to adapt curriculum and support assistive technology.
• Help students achieve IEP goals while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
