Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in working with students

• Must have basic literacy and numeric skills
• Able to operate classroom tech and AV devices

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in instruction and student support across levels
• Instruct students individually or in small groups
• Monitor and document student progress and assist with lesson planning
• Assist with grading and material preparation as needed
• Provide for students' health, language or educational needs
• Support inclusion of students with disabilities in general education
• Possibly provide translation/interpreting for students and families
• Follow crisis intervention and safety procedures when required
