Job summary

Portland Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Educational Technician III to support Special Education students at Lincoln Middle School in Portland, Maine. Working under the direction of the principal and Special Education staff, the Ed Tech implements academic and behavioral plans, supports student engagement, and assists with data collection and non-instructional duties.

This role emphasizes collaboration with families, ongoing communication with stakeholders, and adherence to FERPA.

Qualifications

Maine Ed Tech III authorization or eligibility required.
CPI training certification preferred.
Experience supporting students in structured environments.

Responsibilities

Provide direct instruction to students individually and in small groups to meet academic goals.
Implement lesson plans and follow schedules from the Special Education Coordinator.
Continue instructional activities during teacher absences.
Collaborate with families and school staff to support student learning and social-emotional needs.
Collect, organize, and share data to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality under FERPA and support a positive, inclusive classroom climate.
