Job summary

Independent School District 15 invites applications for a SPED Educational Assistant at Cedar Creek Elementary School (K-5) for the 2026-2027 school year. The EA will support students and teachers in the classroom, helping students achieve academic growth and greater independence.

Work days: 171 (student contact days). Hours: 8:45 am–3:45 pm, 6.5 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Salary starts at $19.52 per hour, depending on experience, per the Educational Assistants Work Agreement.

Qualifications

• Complete PCA training before New Hire Orientation.
• Preferred: Experience working with students with special needs; CPI certification.
• Provide students with defined supports from their IEPs under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Collect data on student progress in the general or special education classroom under the direction of the special education teacher.
• Partner with teachers and administrators to provide the best possible educational environment for students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities throughout the school year to best serve students.

Responsibilities

• As a SPED EA, support students and teachers in the school and classroom.
• Advocate and be a positive role model for students and staff.
