Qualifications

• Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement required.
• Master's degree in Special Education or Educational Leadership.
• Administrative or principal endorsement.
• Minimum of five years' experience in special education.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the Special Education Department and PLTs.
• Design, implement, and evaluate high-quality SPED programs aligned with district goals.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and related statutes.
• Serve as LEA representative in IEP annual reviews and reevaluations.
• Oversee evaluation, placement, and provision of services for students with disabilities.
• Facilitate FBA and BIP implementation and staff training.
• Develop department procedures for documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance.
• Collaborate with district leadership to ensure consistent SPED policies.
