Job summary

The Y of Central Maryland is seeking an OST Site Director to lead a grant-funded after-school program that helps young people learn, grow, and thrive. You will oversee daily operations, develop associates, manage resources, and ensure program goals are met.

Responsibilities include supervising 5–10 direct reports, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and evaluating staff, while staying within the grant budget and building partnerships with schools and families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, youth development, or related field preferred; or at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supervising associates and managing youth-development, education, or community programs.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgets, grants, or program reporting preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and standard workplace technology.
  • Able to work part time schedule (Mon - Thurs, 2pm - 6pm).

  • Lead staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with direct reports.
  • Attend organizational and school-based meetings, as scheduled work hours allow.
  • Support participant recruitment, enrollment, and approved outreach activities.
