Job summary

Tulsa Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Quality Standards Coordinator to ensure adherence to IDEA and other regulations. The role reports to the Director of Compliance and supports school teams with training, audits, and guidance to sustain compliance and improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), at least three years of teaching in special education, Oklahoma certification, and a valid driver's license;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in special education.
• Oklahoma teaching certification in special education required at hire.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure district compliance with IDEA and state/federal laws governing special education.
• Conduct regular audits of IEP documents and processes for compliance.
• Monitor timelines for IEP development, evaluations, and reevaluations to prevent violations.
• Provide training and technical assistance on IDEA requirements and compliance protocols.
• Analyze special education compliance data to identify trends and improvements.
• Serve as liaison between the district and state agencies on compliance matters.
