Position Summary: To the maximum extent possible, the Special Education Teacher workseither within a self-contained special education classroom or as a co-teacher within the generaleducation setting; when required, the Teacher shall design and implement small group toindividualized instruction per students’ IEPs; consistently establishes effective rapport withstudents by use of research-based intervention techniques; responsible for working effectivelywith a team comprised of paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, parents and central officestaff with the purpose of providing quality educational services for each and every student, eachand every day, without exception.
