Job Description

Certificates and Licenses: Special Education Teacher Certification

Residency Requirement: This position is virtual and strongly prefers residents of Texas. May consider residents of surrounding states (NM, OK, AR, LA). Travel up to 20% may be required for professional development, student testing, or as needed.

We are seeking passionate educators for our Stride K12 TX partner schools (TXSS), committed to providing an engaging, individualized educational experience through school and community partnerships, rigorous curriculum, and a data-driven, student-centered instructional model.

The Special Education Compliance Coordinator plays a vital role in implementing policies and procedures related to Special Education programs. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with education leaders, ensuring compliance with deadlines, and managing reporting requirements across TX districts.

This is a full-time REMOTE position requiring independent work, typically 40+ hours per week, with a professional home office setup.

Essential Functions
  • Implement policies and procedures for Special Education programs
  • Build relationships with education leaders and service providers
  • Manage special education records and reporting
  • Coordinate meetings, distribute IEPs, and track compliance deadlines
  • Work with parents, students, teachers, and administrators as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination

Certificates and Licenses: Special Education Teacher Certification

Other Requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and web tools
  • Ability to pass background checks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diagnostician Certification
  • Experience in online and traditional classroom settings
Work Environment

Remote, with travel up to 20% as needed. Texas residency preferred, but surrounding states considered.
